IdleOn - The Incremental MMO
Your heroes in IdleOn keep fighting, gathering and crafting even while the game is closed. Their combined work feeds the progress of your whole account, and you come back to hand the squad new jobs. This pixel-art MMO is made by a single American developer who goes by Lavaflame2 and publishes it too.

Early access began in 2021, and in November 2025 the game fully launched on PC, phones and in the browser at once. Among his influences the author has named RuneScape, Terraria and MapleStory.
Lavaflame2 calls IdleOn his life's work. He handed the coding of his next game, Idlemancer, to someone else so he would not be pulled away from it.
There is not much MMO in it. As of late 2025 the social side came down to shared towns, chat, guilds and leaderboards, while each account fought and gathered on its own. Unhappy players most often complained about a steep learning curve, a cluttered interface and a grind once the roster grows. Of 30,193 Steam reviews, 77% are positive. By our Recommended Score it is #3,527 of 4,736 games.
