Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered
The webs in Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered attach to buildings, not to the sky. Each strand looks for an anchor point on a structure that lets Spider-Man keep his momentum. One reviewer enjoyed swinging so much they never used fast travel.

The original came out on PS4 in 2018 as the first licensed game in Insomniac's 22-year history. Marvel let the studio pick any hero, and it chose Spider-Man, partly because his swinging could build on the traversal of its own Sunset Overdrive.
Remastered arrived on PS5 in November 2020 and at first came only in the Miles Morales Ultimate Edition or as a paid upgrade of the original. It includes The City That Never Sleeps DLC, three additional suits and near-instant loading. Peter also got a new face, to better match the actor's facial capture.
In August 2022 it reached PC in a port by Nixxes, with ray tracing and ultrawide monitor support.
Reviewers praised the story, combat and swinging, and criticized towers that reveal the map, a trope familiar from other open worlds. Players leave 96% positive out of 104,230 reviews; critics give it 87 on Metacritic. By our Recommended Score it is #96 of 4,736 games.
