Detroit: Become Human
Three androids, three storylines, and any hero can die while the story carries on without them. In the interactive drama Detroit: Become Human you play as Kara, who runs from her owner and protects a little girl, as investigator Connor, who hunts down androids that have become sentient, and as Markus, who cared for an old man and then set out to free androids.

The game grew out of Kara, a tech demo Quantic Dream showed in 2012. David Cage had no plans to turn it into a game, but he got curious about what would happen next. The script ran to between 2,000 and 3,000 pages, and Cage compared the story to a Rubik's Cube.
More than 250 actors played 513 roles, and performance capture took 324 days. The team travelled to Detroit and walked through abandoned buildings.
After a chapter you can view a flowchart of your decisions. Critics praised the story, the acting and the flowchart, and faulted the motion controls and clumsy historical parallels. One reviewer felt the flowchart broke the spell. Players leave 96% positive out of 232,095 reviews, and critics give it 80 on Metacritic. In our Recommended Score it ranks 308 of 4,736 games.
