Euro Truck Simulator 2 hands you a truck, a load and Europe at 1:19 scale. Obey the traffic laws, watch the fuel, arrive on time. You start out driving for hire, then save up or take a loan for your own truck, buy garages and hire drivers. To reach Great Britain you take a ferry or a train and switch to the left side of the road.

The trucks are licensed, from DAF and MAN to Scania and Volvo. In the cab you can tune in to European internet radio stations, which one reviewer called the most fun part of the game.
Players learned to drive together before the developers let them. Fans built the unofficial multiplayer mod TruckersMP back in 2013, while SCS Software added its own Convoy mode only in July 2021.
PC Gamer named it the sim of the year for 2012, and it has sold more than 22 million copies. At launch, the reviewer who loved the radio complained about the computer-driven traffic. Those cars seem to only ever drive forward and squeeze into any gap. Players give it 97% positive across 765,519 reviews, and critics 79 on Metacritic. In our Recommended Score it ranks 352 of 4,736 games.
