The rest of the time it is an interactive TV show with dialogue choices, and its eight episodes came out in weekly pairs in October and November 2025. Aaron Paul voices the lead, and the team includes YouTubers jacksepticeye and MoistCr1tikal.

Dispatch was first conceived as a live-action series inspired by ESPN ads. Former Telltale developers founded AdHoc, and production was due to start in March 2020, until the pandemic stopped it.

The project became an animated game. Before release the founders went six months without pay to keep paying a staff of 30, and Critical Role money helped finish it. It sold a million copies in ten days and has passed five million in total.

Many reviewers praised the writing and cast, but some found the gameplay itself lacking, especially the hacking and quick-time events. Players leave 97% positive out of 176,931 reviews; critics give it 87 on Metacritic. By our Recommended Score it is #77 of 4,736 games.
