You can climb the mountain in the co-op game PEAK alone or in a group of up to four. The scouts survived a plane crash, and rescue waits at the summit. Stamina drains from hunger, injuries, poison, heavy loads and extreme temperatures, and you can only hear each other up close.

The mountain changes every 24 hours. The game itself enforces team spirit. Whoever climbs about 200 meters above the rest gets a visit from one of its best known enemies.
It all started as a month-long game jam by Aggro Crab and Landfall in Seoul in February 2025. In its first week the game sold over a million copies and outsold Aggro Crab's previous game, and the studio jokingly complained that a “stupid jam game” was selling better. By mid-August 2025 sales had passed 10 million.
Playing solo, one reviewer found, is harder and less fun. In August 2026 came The Final Ascent, an update the developers called the last big one. Players give it 94% positive across 311,701 reviews, critics 82 on Metacritic. In our Recommended Score it ranks 523 of 4,736 games.
