Satisfactory
In Satisfactory you build a factory in first person on an alien planet. You mine ore, run conveyor belts, set up plants and ship parts to the FICSIT corporation through a space elevator. It comes from Coffee Stain, the makers of Goat Simulator, who in one outlet's words swapped chaos for order.

One outlet compared it to a first-person Factorio. Except here, no algorithm generates the planet, and about 30 square kilometers of biomes were built by hand.
The game spent five and a half years in early access, from March 2019 to September 2024. By January 2024 it had sold 5.5 million copies, and it was named PC Game of the Year at the 2024 Golden Joystick Awards.
Update 1.2 added respawn points shaped like portable toilets, and single-player finally got a pause button, something the game had never had.
You can play alone or with up to four people. One reviewer liked the relaxed, stress-free progression, but warned that the sheer freedom can be intimidating and early automation is slow. Players give it 97% positive across 237,202 reviews, and critics 91 on Metacritic. On our Recommended Score it ranks 79 of 4,736 games.
Liked it? Try Factorio, where an engineer stranded after a crash builds automated industry to launch a rocket, and Dyson Sphere Program, where a network of factories spreads across star systems in pursuit of a Dyson sphere.
