Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege
One life per round, and walls you can blow apart. In the tactical shooter Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, one team storms a building while the other fortifies and holds it. You open a wall with a breach charge or a shotgun, and even floors and ceilings give way.

Once you die, you sit out the rest of the round and help your team through drones and security cameras. That is on purpose: the developers concluded that respawns play into the hands of the strongest players.
Siege took the place of Rainbow 6: Patriots. That game got stuck in development, so Ubisoft cancelled it and put together a new team to reboot the series. Siege came out in December 2015 with 20 operators from five counter-terrorism units.
The start was rough. Sales were weak, and reviewers knocked the thin content and the missing single-player campaign, even as many praised the multiplayer. But the audience kept growing: by December 2020 the game had passed 70 million registered players, and in June 2025 Ubisoft opened free access to some of its modes.
Players leave 82% positive out of 1,569,468 reviews; critics give it 79 on Metacritic. By our Recommended Score it is #753 of 4,736 games.
Liked it? Try Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2, with a story campaign in Las Vegas you can play with a friend, and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, where one side plants a bomb, the other tries to stop it, and guns are bought with money from earlier rounds.
