WARDOGS
A hundred players in three teams fight over a control zone in WARDOGS, and money matters more than points. At the start of Early Access you bought weapons, gear and vehicles with it before every life, and your balance carried over from match to match.

Cash came from playing for the team: revive a squadmate, drive troops to the zone, hold it. The team won on points, but the player leaderboard was sorted by personal profit. Local voice chat, meanwhile, reached all three teams.
The game comes from BULKHEAD, the studio behind Battalion 1944. A month before Early Access it put out a video called “10 Reasons NOT to Buy WARDOGS”. One point is about Battalion 1944: if that game cost the studio your trust, don’t rush. Even so, the game hit Steam’s top sellers while still on pre-order.
The same video lists the drawbacks. Graphics and frame rate fall short of competitive shooters, the game is built for mouse and keyboard, and newcomers who charge in unprepared will find dying frustrating. Players leave 66% positive out of 131,737 reviews. By our Recommended Score it is #4,158 of 4,736 games.
