Battlefield 6
If an enemy is holed up in a building in the shooter Battlefield 6, you can bring it down with explosives or heavy vehicles. You cannot flatten everything, though: the developers deliberately keep some buildings standing. You fight in squads of up to four, in tanks, in fighter jets and on foot, and the campaign is set in 2027 and 2028, with a fractured NATO at war with the private military company Pax Armata.

Battlefield 2042 was poorly received in 2021. The main models for the new entry were Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4, the destruction was built with Bad Company 2 in mind, and Battlefield Labs, a closed playtest run worldwide, gathered player feedback.
In the three days after its October 10, 2025 launch EA sold more than 7 million copies, the biggest launch in the series. At The Game Awards 2025 it won Best Audio Design.
If story is what you are after, be warned: reviewers panned the campaign, and one called it a safe, dull reimagining of what Battlefield used to be. The multiplayer, on the other hand, won praise. Players leave 62% positive across 302,321 reviews, and critics give it 82 on Metacritic. By our Recommended Score it is #1,621 of 4,736 games.
