ARC Raiders
In the third-person shooter ARC Raiders you climb out of the underground settlement of Speranza onto a surface roamed by ARC machines and usually scavenge for up to half an hour. Both the robots and other players shoot at you. Die, and everything is gone, except what sits in your safe pocket.

At The Game Awards 2021 it was shown as a free-to-play co-op shooter; in 2023 it became an extraction shooter against machines and people, and before release Embark dropped the free-to-play model too. Four years later, at the same show, ARC Raiders won Best Multiplayer Game.
There are no rules up top, and some players hunt their own. But at launch the game tried to match solo players with other solos, and strangers ended up in what design director Virgil Watkins called "a tenuous alliance".
One reviewer found it tougher solo; another disliked the characters' synthesized voices. In March 2026 Embark's CEO said some lines had been re-recorded with real actors. By February 2026 it had sold 14 million copies. Players leave 82% positive out of 308,918 reviews, critics give it 86 on Metacritic. By our Recommended Score it is #261 of 4,736 games.
