Besides hunger and thirst there is sanity. The longer you wander through supernatural places, the lower it drops, and your maximum health drops with it.
Servers do not last forever. Each one has a limited lifespan and then wipes. The character is kept, and the best items can be stored on a private island and carried into new scenarios, though not all of them.
The game launched free on 9 July 2024. At launch more than 220,000 people were playing at once on Steam, and there were queues to get in.
One reviewer enjoyed gathering and fighting with friends, but at launch disliked building materials locked behind microtransactions. Another felt weak action holds the game back. Players leave 79% positive out of 194,960 reviews, critics give it 71 on Metacritic. By our Recommended Score it is #1,730 of 4,736 games.
