The game took more than eight years to make. Rockstar merged all of its studios into one team, and about 2,000 people worked on it in total.
The numbers Vulture reported show the scale. The main story script ran to nearly 2,000 pages. More than 1,200 actors were hired, 700 of them have lines, and motion capture took 2,200 days.
Roger Clark played Arthur and won Best Performance for the role at The Game Awards 2018. In all, the game took four awards there.
Some reviewers complained about the slow opening hours and a confusing button layout. If you enjoy unhurried stories, that is more of a plus. Players leave 92% positive out of 859,927 reviews; critics give it 93 on Metacritic. By our Recommended Score it is #5 of 4,736 games.
Liked it? Move on to Red Dead Redemption, the 2010 original, where it is already 1911 and John Marston takes the lead, and Red Dead Online, the online part of the second game.
